Applebees is always good place to go.

Depends if you're going in a group or not. If you are going in a group, I'd strongly recommend Bucca Di Beppo. It's served family style which really can take the edge of of what might be an otherwise stressful evening. But if the two of you are going alone and maybe looking to be a bit romantic, try either Romeo's or (for a little nicer) go for the Tree House Italian Grill. Also, get reservations soon, you won't want to have to end up eating at Wendy's!!!

Tony's Vineyard (formerly Piccolo Italian Cafe) on 28th and Rio Grande was 'the' prom dinner place for people going with a date (as opposed to a group) when I graduated in '04. The great thing about Tony's is that it is has a great selection of food and price. You can get anything from an $8 fettucine alfredo to a $25 dollar seared Ahi tuna.

When I was in school I went to 3 proms and all of them had a nice dinner. Unless your prom is crazy and not supplying a meal, don't eat out before.

Thistle Cafe on 6th...60's modern decor, very swanky, good food OR Vespaio (Italian) or South Congress Cafe. (Yummy!)
It's your prom so I say be adventurous and stay away from the chain run of the mill places! Have fun!

Depending on the food you like, there are several good places. Chuy's is great. Koreana Grill is also very good.
