The firebowl cafe is not a real restaurant- its a spot for people who work to go grab a quick bite. For Chinese, try Benihanna or PF Changs (arboretum). For a buffet try Buffet Palace- there are several locations in Austin. Also check out the website www.foodhawk. com. It really helped us when we moved here to find restaurants.

Not sure about buffets, but THE BEST chinese in the Austin area is Firebowl Cafe. The broccoli chicken with brown rice is great and it's very reasonably priced. There's one at La Frontera in Round Rock and one in south Austin. Wish we had them here in Dallas!
